January 14, 2008 Regular Meeting Minutes

Absent: LuMaye (excused)

Others: Administrator Kranz, City Attorney Wolske, Ambulance Director Grulkowski, Police Chief Salentine, Barb Ludlow

Mayor Blaha called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. whereas the Pledge of Allegiance was recited followed by meditation.

The Council received a copy of a letter addressed to the Mayor dated December 18, 2007 from Seno Companies regarding the upcoming Kewaunee Senior Village Project.

The Council received the Finance Committee minutes of November 12, 2007.

Zenner moved and Sperber seconded to approve the Operator’s Licenses as submitted. Motion carried unanimously.

Zenner moved and Brown seconded to approve the December 2007 Accounts Payables in the amount of $145,313.65. Upon a roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.

Rabas moved and Kostka seconded to approve the Regular Council Meeting minutes of December 10, 2007. Motion carried unanimously.

Zenner moved and Jeske seconded to introduce the second reading and adoption of A CHARTER ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF CITY ATTORNEY. Upon a roll call vote, motion carried with Kostka, Brown, Zenner, Jeske, Rabas, and Sperber voting yea and Vollenweider voting nay.

Mayor Blaha informed the Council of his meeting with the local cub scout pack and highlighted on some of the interesting comments made.

Kostka moved and Vollenweider seconded to adjourn the meeting at 7:13 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
