January 9, 2006 Meeting Minutes

OFFICIAL MINUTES
OF THE
CITY OF KEWAUNEE COMMON COUNCIL
REGULAR MEETING
JANUARY 9, 2006

Present: Mayor Jeanquart, Alderman Vollenweider, Brewster, Crabb, Zenner, Muellner, Rabas, Schneider

Absent: Blaha (excused)

Others: Public Works Director Balleine, Police Chief Salentine, City Attorney Wolske, Barb Ludlow

Mayor Jeanquart called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. whereas the Pledge of Allegiance was recited followed by meditation.

The Council received the Finance Committee minutes of December 12, 2005.

Vollenweider moved and Muellner seconded to approve the December 2005 Accounts Payables in the amount of $104,337.79. Upon a roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.

The Council received the Public Works Committee minutes of December 27, 2005.

Schneider moved and Rabas seconded to approve the engineer agreement with Ayres Associates for the 2006 Public Works Improvement Projects. Motion carried unanimously.

Schneider moved and Rabas seconded to approve the purchase of a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 regular cab 2WD pickup truck from Jorn’s Chevrolet in the amount of $14,104. Upon a roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.

The Council received the Personnel Committee minutes of January 5, 2006.

Schneider moved and Brewster seconded to approve the 2006 Non-Union Salary/Wage Schedule as submitted. Motion carried unanimously.

Muellner moved and Vollenweider seconded to approve the Regular Council Meeting minutes of December 12, 2005 as submitted. Motion carried unanimously.

Muellner moved and Zenner seconded to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 955-O6, RESOLUTION OF COMMITMENT TO APPLY TO THE WISCONSIN WATERWAYS COMMISSION FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. Motion carried unanimously.

Crabb moved and Vollenweider seconded to introduce the first reading of ORDINANCE NO. 543-06, AN ORDINANCE REGULATING OUTDOOR SOLID FUEL FIRED HEATING DEVICES IN THE CITY OF KEWAUNEE. Motion carried unanimously.

Brewster moved and Muellner seconded to approve the engineer agreement with Ayres Associates for Preparation of a Recreational Boating Facilities Grant Application. Motion carried unanimously.

Vollenweider moved and Rabas seconded to adjourn the meeting at 7:28 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
