July 10, 2006 Meeting Minutes OFFICIAL MINUTES
Absent: LuMaye & Crabb, excused Others: Administrator Kranz, Public Works Director Balleine, Barb Ludlow Mayor Jeanquart called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. whereas the Pledge of Allegiance was recited followed by meditation. The Council received a letter from Waste Management dated June 28, 2006 giving the City their 180 day written notice to terminate sanitation and recycling services. This matter was further discussed later in the meeting. The Council received the Finance Committee minutes of June 12, 2006. Vollenweider moved and Zenner seconded to approve the Operator’s Licenses as submitted. Motion carried unanimously. Vollenweider moved and Zenner seconded to approve the June 2006 Accounts Payables in the amount of $182,797.77. Upon a roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. The Council received the Public Property Committee minutes of July 5, 2006. Vollenweider moved and Muellner seconded to approve the City Property lease renewal with Blue Water Services, Ltd. Motion carried unanimously. Vollenweider moved and Muellner seconded to approve the Marina/Campground Manager job description as submitted. Motion carried unanimously. Rabas moved and Schneider seconded to approve the Regular Council Meeting minutes of June 12, 2006 as submitted. Motion carried unanimously. Zenner moved and Blaha seconded to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 959-06, A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A QUIT CLAIM DEED TO A PORTION OF THE PUBLIC COMMONS TO JOHN P. BERNER AND KAREN A. BERNER. Discussion occurred and it was agreed that a reversionary clause should be in the deed in case the existing buildings were more that 50 percent destroyed or no longer existing the property would revert back to the City. Accordingly, Vollenweider moved and Schneider seconded to table RESOLUTION NO. 959-06 until the next Council meeting. Motion carried unanimously. The Council discussed the letter received from Waste Management terminating their services. It was decided that this issue is to be referred to the Public Works Committee to consider all options on how to proceed and bring back a recommendation to the Council at the next meeting.
