June 12, 2006 Meeting Minutes OFFICIAL MINUTES Present: Mayor Jeanquart, Alderman Vollenweider, Blaha, LuMaye, Crabb, Zenner, Muellner, Rabas, Schneider Absent: None Others: Administrator Kranz, John Rogers, Chad Pelishek, Denise Danelski, Jason Moeller, Bruce Urben, City Attorney Wolske, Barb Ludlow Mayor Jeanquart called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. whereas the Pledge of Allegiance was recited followed by meditation. Bruce Urben, WI DNR NE Region, Redevelopment and Remediation Program Supervisor and Jason Moeller, Project Manager appeared before the Council and presented a $75,000 Brownfield Site Assessment Grant check to Mayor Jeanquart. It was noted that this is the first brownfield grant awarded in Kewaunee County. The Council received the Finance Committee minutes of May 8, 2006. Vollenweider moved and Crabb seconded to approve the Operator’s Licenses as submitted. Motion carried unanimously. Vollenweider moved and Muellner seconded to approve the Temporary Class "B" Retailer’s Licenses as submitted . Motion carried unanimously. Vollenweider moved and Muellner seconded to approve the annual license renewals as submitted for "Class B", "Class A", Class "A", Class "B", Soda/Water, Cigarettes, and Miscellaneous. Motion carried unanimously. Vollenweider moved and Muellner seconded to approve the May 2006 Accounts Payables in the amount of $142,083.43. Upon a roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. The Council received the Public Works Committee minutes of May 8 & May 30, 2006. The Council received the Plan Commission minutes of May 16 & June 6, 2006. The Council received the Tug Ludington Committee minutes of May 2, 2006. Blaha moved and Rabas seconded to approve the Regular Council Meeting minutes of May 8, 2006 as submitted. Motion carried unanimously. Schneider moved and Blaha seconded to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 957-06, A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY OF KEWAUNEE COMMON COUNCIL ACKNOWLEDGING REVIEW OF THE 2005 COMPLIANCE MAINTENANCE REPORT (CMR) AND DIRECTING THE CITY PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO SUBMIT THE REPORT TO THE WISCONSIN DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES AS REQUIRED. Motion carried unanimously. Blaha moved and Vollenweider seconded to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 958-06, RESOLUTION SUPPORTING AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE CITY OF KEWAUNEE AND THE WISCONSIN STATE ELECTIONS BOARD REGARDING USE OF THE STATEWIDE VOTER REGISTRATION SYSTEM. Motion carried unanimously. The City Property lease renewal with Blue Water Services, Ltd. was referred to the Public Property Committee for recommendation.
