September 11, 2006 Meeting Minutes OFFICIAL MINUTES Present: Mayor Jeanquart, Alderman Vollenweider, LuMaye, Crabb, Muellner, Rabas, Schneider Absent: Blaha, Zenner (excused) Others: Administrator Kranz, Public Works Director Balleine, Carla Gogin, Barb Ludlow Mayor Jeanquart called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. whereas the Pledge of Allegiance was recited followed by meditation. Carla Gogin, Virchow Krause, presented and reviewed with the Council the 2005 Annual Financial Statement. The Council received the Finance Committee minutes of August 14, 2006. Vollenweider moved and Crabb seconded to approve the Operator’s Licenses as submitted. Motion carried unanimously. Vollenweider moved and LuMaye seconded to approve a Temporary Class "B" Retailer’s License to the Kewaunee Fire Department Auxiliary for a Brat Fry on October 20, 2006. Motion carried unanimously. Vollenweider moved and LuMaye seconded to approve the request from the Fire Department to expend donated funds in the amount of $909.98 for the purpose of dress uniform accessories and new front tires for the 1927 American LaFrance. Motion carried unanimously. Vollenweider moved and Muellner seconded to approve the August 2006 Accounts Payables in the amount of $557,631.16. Upon a roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. The Council received the Public Works Committee minutes of August 29, 2006. Schneider moved and Rabas seconded to approve the award of bid for the sale of the 1987 GMC pickup to Tom Cherovsky in the amount of $3,286.99. Motion carried unanimously. The Council received the Tug Ludington Committee minutes of July 20, 2006. Rabas moved and Muellner seconded to approve the Regular Council Meeting minutes of August 14, 2006 as submitted. Motion carried unanimously. Schneider moved and Crabb seconded to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 960-06, RESOLUTION FOR URBAN FORESTRY GRANT. Motion carried unanimously. Upon the recommendation of Mayor Jeanquart in making some committee reassignments, Schneider moved and Muellner seconded to appoint Vollenweider as Chair of the Public Works Committee and Schneider as Chair of the Finance Committee. Motion carried unanimously. Mayor Jeanquart commented that an article prepared by Administrator Kranz explaining the recent revaulation and its affects on property owners will be in the newspaper this coming week.
