September 15, 2008 Regular Meeting Minutes

OFFICIAL MINUTES
OF THE
CITY OF KEWAUNEE COMMON COUNCIL
REGULAR MEETING
SEPTEMBER 15, 2008

Present: Mayor Blaha, Alderman Kostka, Vollenweider, LuMaye, Brown, Jeske, D. Kickbusch

Absent: Zenner, Sperber (excused)

Others: Administrator Kranz, Marina Manager Luedtke, City Attorney Wolske, Willard Kickbusch, Ken Skarvan, Barb Ludlow

Mayor Blaha called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. whereas the Pledge of Allegiance was recited followed by meditation.

The Council received the Finance Committee minutes of August 11, 2008.

LuMaye moved and Jeske seconded to approve the August 2008 Accounts Payables in the amount of $589,370.45. Upon a roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.

D. Kickbusch moved and Brown seconded to approve the Regular Council Meeting minutes of August 11, 2008. Motion carried unanimously.

Kostka moved and Jeske seconded to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 976-08, RESOLUTION FOR URBAN FORESTRY GRANT PROGRAM. Motion carried unanimously.

D. Kickbusch moved and Brown seconded to introduce RESOLUTION NO. 977-08, RESOLUTION FOR VACATION OF PART OF DUVALL STREET. Motion carried unanimously.

LuMaye moved and Kostka seconded to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 978-08, RESOLUTION SETTING PUBLIC HEARING (Vacation of Part of Duvall Street). Motion carried unanimously.

Vollenweider moved and Brown seconded to introduce RESOLUTION NO. 979-08, RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE OFFICIAL MAP (Vacation of Part of Duvall Street). Motion carried unanimously.

Vollenweider moved and LuMaye seconded to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 980-08, RESOLUTION SETTING PUBLIC HEARING (Amend the Official Map). Motion carried unanimously.

Mayor Blaha reported that there will be a beach clean-up on Saturday, September 20th.

Mayor Blaha stated that it would be appreciated if downtown business owners or employees would assist the City in occasionally watering the flowers planted in the planters throughout the downtown.

Vollenweider moved and D. Kickbusch seconded to adjourn the meeting at 7:14 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
