Waterfront Parks

Waterfront Parks

In addition to the two public beaches in Kewaunee, the City offers several waterfront parks for harbor, and lake, and riverside activities. Whether walking along the boardwalks, fishing from the shore, picknicking, or simply contemplating the peacful waterfront vistas, these shorline parks are sure to please.

Harbor Park

A scenic 0.75 acre public park along the harbor and Kewaunee River in the central portion of the city, Harbor Park is a popular location for shore fishing, harbor viewing, picnicking and walking. The park area offers:

  • Picnic Tables
  • Benches
  • Grills
  • Boardwalk and stone pathway along the river

Selner Park

Located at the corners of Main and Vliet Streets, this is a beautiful small park just right for the family picnic. The 1.38 acre park has a walkway down to a paved parking area which, in turn, leads to the Lake Michigan beach.

  • Picnic Table
  • Grill
  • Benches
  • Drinking Fountain
  • Playground with Teeter-Totter and Swings
  • Sand Beach

Kewaunee Marshland Walk

This quiet and peaceful boardwalk wends its way through the heart of the Kewaunee River Marsh. Located just north of the Kewaunee Landing, this beautiful 2,430 foot pathway goes through an area of natural marshland vegetation and ends at a scenic point looking out at the Kewaunee River.

The walkway was constructed in 1993 in a cooperative effort between the City of Kewaunee and the Wisconsin Coastal Management Program, and features:

  • 980 linear feet of Wooden Walkway
  • Wooden Deck with Benches
